125W fast charging in Oppo, OnePlus and Realme smartphones

Three Chinese companies will present ultra-fast charging smartphones in the second half of this year.

One of the main deficiencies of our day is time. It is constantly lacking and the world is accelerating in order to have time to cover a lot. If a couple of years ago it was considered the norm that a smartphone spends several hours on charging, nowadays it is an unaffordable luxury.

All this is well understood by manufacturers who have begun to increase the speed of fast charging.

Last year, the group’s daughters from BBK distinguished themselves by presenting fast chargers with a capacity of 120-125 watts. They offer “space” speeds in terms of time to “refuel” the battery. For example, Realme’s 125W fast charging technology can charge a 4000mAh battery up to a third in just three minutes.

The technology supports multiple fast-charging protocols including PPS 125W, PD 65W, and QX 36W. It will be compatible with VOOC, Dart, Warp, SuperVOOC, SuperVOOC 2.0, SuperDart technologies.

There is no information about which models can be charged in a matter of minutes. But with a high degree of probability, these will be flagship-level devices.
