In December last year, Qualcomm announced its top-end Snapdragon 888 processor, and is now preparing an improved version for the release.
What is known?
Insider @evleaks shared details about the new product on Twitter. The chip is codenamed SM8450 and will most likely be called Snapdragon 888+. The SoC, according to the informant, will be built using a 4-nanometer process technology. For comparison, the current model is made using 5nm technology.

Snapdragon 888+ is also credited with a built-in modem for the fifth generation Snapdragon X65 network, a new Kryo 780 core with ARM Cortex v9 technology, as well as Adreno 730 graphics, Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9380 / WCD9385 audio chip and Adreno 1195 display processor (DPU).
When to expect?
There are no exact dates for the release of the processor yet, but it is known that all top smartphones of the second half of 2021 will be released on its basis. By the way, the future flagship Honor may be one of the first to receive the chip.
