All extensions broke in Firefox: Either disabled or not Function

Extensions broke in Firefox: Users of the popular Firefox browser have today encountered a problem with extensions for the program: for many, they are either disabled or simply do not function.

There is a way to bring extensions back to life, but the algorithm that is not very convenient will have to be repeated each time a new browser is launched.

The problem connected with security certificates and Mozilla knows this. So far, however, the company is not ready to even name it tentatively when the bug will be fixed. “Our team is actively working on this,” – said Mozilla.

To continue using the extensions, you can wait for a decision from the company, resort to the method described in redditor install Firefox Nightly or a version of the browser for developers.

Update - 2019.05.05Issue has been fixed.

The company writes a blog post and twitted about the same, stating that “Update! A fix is being rolled out now.”

The company writes in the blog post:

“The fix will be automatically applied in the background within the next few hours. No active steps need to be taken to make add-ons work again. In particular, please do not delete and/or re-install any add-ons as an attempt to fix the issue. Deleting an add-on removes any data associated with it, where disabling and re-enabling does not.”
