Apple launches mass production of the M2 ARM chip for the new MacBook Pro

According to a source in the Taiwanese publication Nikkei Asia, Apple launched mass production of a new proprietary ARM processor this month.

What is known?

We are talking about the M2 chipset. As the name suggests, it will be the successor to the 5-nanometer SoC M1, which is installed in the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac and iPad Pro. The new product will be produced at TSMC factories for three months and, if everything goes according to plan, the first deliveries of the chip will begin in mid-summer.

According to the leaks, the 14-and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be the first to receive the M2 processor. By the way, the drawings of one of them were recently stolen by Russian hackers. New items should be presented in the second half of this year. Also, the M2 SoS is attributed to the 27-inch iMac. When it will be released, there is no information yet.
