Apple will now warns users about slowing down the iPhone before updating

Apple warns users about slowing down the iPhone: At the end of 2017, Apple got to the center of a major scandal because of the slowing down of old iPhone models.

As it turned out, to save the life of the battery and the device itself, the company quietly reduced its maximum performance.  They found out about this, and charges and lawsuits fell on Apple.

The company had to add iOS ability to disable the slowdown, but and it was not enough. Now Apple promises to notify users before installing the update that the performance of their gadget will be reduced.

What does it mean?

Apple has signed an agreement with the Office of  Competition and  Markets UK (The Competition and Markets Authority) and is required to notify users about slowing their smartphone. Now they will have a choice  install the update and agree to slow down the work of the gadget or refuse the firmware and keep the performance.

Thus, users received state support in protecting their rights.
