ASUS as promised, introduced a new line of smartphones ZenFone 8, which includes two models: compact (relatively small) ZenFone ZenFone 8 and the more advanced Zenfone 8 Flip. Let’s start with the basic model.
ASUS ZenFone 8 Specification
This is a small-sized smartphone that will be convenient to control with one hand and easily fit in your pocket. It has a 5.9-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time, providing smooth scrolling and a clear image. Claimed color coverage of 112% DCI-P3, brightness of 1000 nits, protection from water and dust according to the IP68 standard and durable protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Despite its compact size, there is a fairly powerful “filling” inside the gadget-a Snapdragon 888, 6, 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 64 GB of UFS 2.1 or 128/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, as well as a 4000 mAh battery with support for 30 W charging, WiFi 6E and NFC for contactless payments. The device runs Android 11 with a proprietary ZenUI 8 shell.
The main camera consists of two modules — a 64 MP Sony IMX686 sensor with optical stabilization and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX363 lens. On the front is a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 camera.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 148×68.5×8.9 mm, the weight is only 169 g.
ASUS ZenFone 8 Price
The new product is already available for pre-order, including in Europe. At first, the price tag will be €600, after which it will rise to €700.
By the way, ASUS ZenFone 8 will also available to Ukraine. At the start of sales, the version with 8/128 GB can be purchased at a special price of 19,999 UAH instead of 23,999 UAH. Versions with 8/256 GB (24,999 UAH) and 16/256 GB (28,999 UAH) will also be available.
