Facebook will remake Messenger: The Facebook company announced at the conference for F8 developers not only the update of the social network itself but also the improvement of the Messenger application.
Lightspeed
This is a new lightweight version of the messenger, which will weigh only 30 MB and run in seconds. for comparison, the current version weighs about 100 MB.
Recall that the application already has a light version – Messenger Lite. But it is designed for devices with a minimum amount of memory and does not have all the functions of a regular messenger.
The LightSpeed version is planned to be launched by the end of this year.
Security
As promised earlier by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, the company will make the protection of users’ personal data their priority. Therefore, Messenger will enter end-to-end encryption by default.
