Google partners with SpaceX in the development of the global satellite Internet Starlink

Recently, Google and SpaceX announced a partnership that will become a mutually beneficial union.

What for?

Elon Musk’s company will cooperate with one of the largest corporations to ensure the stable operation of the Starlink satellite Internet. So, SpaceX will install its terminals and additional ground stations in Google data centers around the world. By the way, the first such terminal will be located in the Google data center in New Albany, Ohio.

According to Elon Musk, the placement of terminals will significantly reduce delays and signal deviations. “Placing ground stations in data centers will significantly reduce latency and jitter. The data can be transferred from the user terminal to the server without affecting the Internet, ” explained the head of SpaceX.

As for Google, the company will be able to offer its corporate cloud customers the service of connecting to the Starlink network.

“Applications and services running in the cloud can be transformative for organizations, whether they’re operating in a highly networked or remote environment,” Google said in a statement.

Recall that in October last year, SpaceX announced a partnership with Microsoft.
