Google launched its premium Pixel series smartphones earlier this month, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which feature a new design and Google’s own Tensor processor.
The launch date for these devices, however, has yet to be confirmed by the business.
While the official launch date has yet to be determined, a fresh source suggests that Google will release the Pixel 6 series smartphones on September 13th. Apple is anticipated to make the iPhone 13 series phones official the next day.
The forthcoming Pixel 6 range will be available for purchase in the fall, according to the company. Google recently announced the discontinuation of its Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G smartphones, which were released last year.
Even though the entire specs sheet hasn’t been released, Google has given several crucial facts about the devices thus far. The Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Pixel 6 has a triple-camera configuration on the rear, with a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 4x telephoto lens, whilst the Pixel 6 Pro has a dual-camera setup.
Given that the chipset is believed to be focused on photo output and employ artificial intelligence and machine learning, the photography performance might be the best ever.
The Pixel 6 series’ CPU will be the centrepiece, since it will be powered by Google’s own chipset, Tensor, which is designed just for Pixel smartphones.
Aside from on-device AI and machine learning, the chip is said to increase translation, captioning, and dictation significantly. The chipset is most likely the Samsung Exynos 9855 SoC, which is yet to be launched.
Around the middle of September, there will be a slew of smartphone launch events. On the 8th of September, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is scheduled to be released, followed by Google’s Pixel 6 range on the 13th of September.
Apple is expected to release its iPhone 13 series devices the next day. However, none of these launch dates have been verified by the firms, but we expect an official announcement in the coming days by the company.
