HP EliteBook 800 Series Specification: HP has launched the new EliteBook x360 830 G6, EliteBook 830, 840 and 850 G6 with Whiskey Lake hardware platform, optional AMD graphics and new security and privacy options, including HP Sure Sense.

HP has updated its EliteBook 800 G6 business-notebook family, introducing the EliteBook x360 830 G6 convertible and EliteBook 850, 840 and 830 G6 notebooks, all featuring ultraslim frames, state-of-the-art processors, greater autonomy and new business features.

Including support for HP Sure Sense, a solution that uses artificial intelligence (AI) for deep learning to allow protection from malware in real time, intelligently deciding if there is a real risk to the system.

The idea, said HP, is to provide an additional level of security against so-called “zero-day” attacks that could come as a surprise and install ransomware, especially on company machines.

The EliteBook x360 830 G6 should be available in June, while the new EliteBook 850, 840 and 830 G6 from 15.6 inches to 13.3 inches will be in stores as early as May.

Unfortunately, at the moment, the American company has not provided details on the availability and prices for the European market, but we are sure that we will know more about it in the coming weeks.

HP EliteBook 830 G6 is a notebook with 13.3-inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels), Intel Whiskey Lake processor (Core i3-8145U, Core i5-8265U, and Core i7-8665U), up to 32GB of DDR-2400 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe storage.

In the USA, the manufacturer will be able to configure the laptop according to his needs: users can opt for a touch screen and/or with brightness up to 1000 nits to be able to use the device even outdoors with direct light of the Sun. There is also optional support for an AMD Radeon 550X graphics card.

The notebook is equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 port and an RJ-45 (Ethernet), HDMI and USB 3.1, plus a backlit keyboard with dedicated keys for Skype and other communication tools, optional support for WiFi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G-LTE. At a weight of 1.36Kg, a 50Wh battery is also included, which should guarantee up to 18 hours of battery life.

HP EliteBook x360 830 G6 has similar features, but this version lacks the optional AMD graphics support and instead sports a 360-degree hinge that allows you to use the device in multiple modes of use (notebook, tablet, tent, and stand) thanks to the rotation of the screen.

On board, we find a 53Wh battery and two Thunderbolt 3 ports instead of one. Both machines can be equipped with third-generation HP Sure View technology, which dramatically reduces the viewing angle of the screen to avoid prying eyes.
