HTC continuously unpublishing several HTC Android apps from the Play Store: This year so far, numbers of the disappeared HTC app from the play store reached to 15, including The Sense Home launcher and apps from Contacts, Calendar, Mail, Dot View and more.
Other applications that haven’t been removed take months to update, so they don’t seem to have much in the future. Strangely, HTC has removed applications like Mail or Contacts, which are important applications that are pre-installed on smartphones of that brand.
What is happening is not clear, but there are several possible explanations. HTC’s smartphone business has not been a huge success, so it is not much to keep the user’s apps that the company cannot afford anymore.
Another possibility might be that HTC plans to launch a new 2019 smartphone with Android One, which will eliminate the need for these applications. No explanations came out of the company at the moment. However, Taiwanese companies still have more applications that still exist in the Play Store.
