Back in February, German insider Max Jambor said that OnePlus is working on a new budget smartphone Nord. It was supposed to be called the Nord N1 5G, but this is not the case.
What is known?
According to new information, the company’s development department decided to change the name of the device to OnePlus Nord CE 5G. What is the reason for this is still unclear, but OnePlus is not the first time before the release of the name of the smartphone changes.
A similar situation was with the budget version of the OnePlus 9. Initially, it was planned to be called the OnePlus 9E. Then the name was changed to OnePlus 9 Lite, but in the end it entered the market as OnePlus 9R.

As for the OnePlus Nord CE 5G, it is rumored to be the successor to the Nord N10 5G model. Recall that the smartphone entered the market in October last year. It has the look and feel of the OnePlus 8T, a 90Hz FHD IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chip, 6GB of RAM, a 4300 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge fast charging, and a 64MP + 13MP + 2MP + 2MP quad camera. How the new model will differ from the old one-there is no information yet.
