Apple recently released the iOS 14.5.1 update, which primarily addresses security issues. But it also brought unexpected surprises.
On the YouTube channel of Nick Ackerman (Nick Ackerman), a video appeared in which the blogger tested three smartphones: the iPhone XR of 2018, the iPhone 11 of 2019, and the iPhone 12 of 2020. He compared the download time, app opening speed, video rendering, and results in Geekbench and 3DMark tests.
And the test results were unexpected: the older iPhone XR is ahead of the more modern iPhone 11 and even the new iPhone 12. At the same time, in the benchmarks, the performance of the iPhone 12 fell catastrophically.
It seems that the reason lies in the iOS 14.5.1 update, which somehow affected the work of gadgets. Most likely, Apple will release a fix for this bug in the near future.
