MediaTek has announced a new processor of the Dimensity line.
What is known?
The chip was named MediaTek Dimensity 900. It received two Cortex-A78 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, a Mali-G68 MC4 graphics accelerator and a third-generation APU module that is responsible for the operation of the AI function. According to the company, it has become more productive and energy efficient.
The new chip is built on a 6-nanometer process technology. It is equipped with a built-in New Radio 5G modem, which can work with two SIM cards at once in SA and NSA mode. The Dimensity 900 also has support for displays up to 120 Hz, LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, and an Imagiq 5.0 image processor.
