Outlook accounts hacked for months: Microsoft reports that hackers hacked and obtained personal data of some users of the Outlook email client.
As it turned out, hackers had access to Outlook from January 1 to March 28. In general, the affected users, who use the service msn.com and hotmail.com.
” The hackers are able to access e-mail address hacked user folder names ” table of contents ” of electronic communications, as well as to the email addresses of people with whom to interact hacked account”, – said in a Microsoft statement.
At the same time, the hackers did not receive the content of the letters.
What to do?
Microsoft has already disabled hacked accounts and deprived hackers of access to the service. However, users are encouraged to change passwords.
The company also warns that hacking can lead to the distribution of phishing emails and spam.
