Analytical company Statista, based on the database of the Federal Office of Radiation Protection of Germany, has compiled a rating of smartphones with the highest radiation level. As he entered the Apple device, Blackberry, Google, HTC, Huawei, LG, Motorola, OnePlus, Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi and ZTE. The specific absorption coefficient of electromagnetic radiation (SAR) was taken into account.
Who is in the “Red Zone“ (Most Radiation Emitting Smartphones)?
In the top three in terms of radiation – a popular state employee Xiaomi Mi A1 with a coefficient of 1.75 watts per kilogram, OnePlus 5T with an indicator of 1.63 W / kg and Xiaomi Mi Max 3, which results in 1.55 W / kg.
Also listed:
- OnePlus 6T – 1.55 W / kg
- HTC U12 Life – 1.48 W / kg
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 – 1.45 W / kg
- Google Pixel 3 XL – 1.39 W / kg
- Oneplus 5 – 1.39 W / kg
- iPhone 7 – 1.38 W / kg

Most Radiation Emitting Smartphones
Who is in the safe zone (Least Radiation Emitting Smartphones)?
But the lowest rates were in Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (0.17 W / kg), ZTE Axon Elite (0.17 W / kg) and LG G7 (0.24 W / kg).

Least Radiation Emitting Smartphones
Out of the 16 enlisted smartphones, eight are from Samsung, and Samsung Note 8 owners are least prone to radiations.
What does it mean
This should be your grandmother with the triumphant phrase “I told you so!”, But no. It is unlikely that even leaders of anti-rating can be called dangerous gadgets. For example, in the USA, the maximum permissible SAR value is 1.6 W / kg, and in Europe – 2 W / kg. The first mark was crossed by only a few smartphones, and the second – none of them at all.
And although there is still no consensus about whether gadgets affect human health, there are still physicians who are sure that only devices with an index greater than 2 W / kg can affect the body.
