According to rumors, this year Apple will introduce an updated iPod touch, which should be released in honor of the 20th anniversary of the release of the first iPod. Insiders have published renderings of the new model, which, however, may differ from the final product.
What was shown?
Definitely, the gadget depicted on the renders is different from the 7th-generation iPod touch, which debuted in 2019. The new model has thinner frames and flatter edges like the iPhone 12, no cutout like the iPad Pro, and a white frame that resembles the new iMac 2021.
I also had a chance to work with @RendersbyIan on the new iPod touch renders. The new iPod touch will arrive in time for the iPod’s 20th anniversary. These look great! What do think? Thanks for the info @AppleLe257 pic.twitter.com/BzV4v4sOsh

There is no Home button, but there are two cameras — the main one and the front one. Most likely, Face ID is not worth waiting for, but perhaps a fingerprint scanner will be built into the power button.
What changes will occur inside – is still unknown.
