Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD: Opel turns the 70s Manta A coupe into an electric car

Opel has announced the Manta GSe ElektroMOD sports electric coupe.

What is known?

The novelty is a modern version of the classic Opel Manta A model, which was produced from 1970 to 1975. Under the hood of the Manta GSe ElektroMOD, engineers installed a 108 kW (147 hp) electric motor that produces 255 Nm of torque.

According to the manufacturer, it is able to accelerate the novelty from the spot immediately in fourth gear. The Manta GSe ElektroMOD has rear-wheel drive and a manual transmission. The car is powered by a 32 kWh battery. The declared power reserve is up to 200 km. The car is charged from the complete 9 kW wire. The charging time is about 4 hours.
