In October, OnePlus released the first OxygenOS Open Beta for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, based on Android 12. A month later, in November, a second public beta was issued. The handsets have now started receiving the stable update, over a month later.
The latest and most likely last version of OnePlus’ mobile operating system is OxygenOS 12. That’s because, starting in 2022, OPPO and OnePlus will provide a single OS for their devices in overseas markets.
The new OxygenOS, on the other hand, is built on Android 12 and includes visual cues from OPPO’s ColorOS. Because both software’s codebases have previously been combined.
The OxygenOS 12 stable update for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro is now available in India, according to XDA Developers. Other regional versions, such as EEA and Global, should receive the newest system update in the following few hours or days.
The Chinese models, on the other hand, have already got the ColorOS 12 stable update, which was released in late November.
If you possess an Indian version of the OnePlus 9 series, go to Settings > System > System Updates to see if your device has gotten the Android 12 stable update. If not, be patient as it is being rolled out in batches, similar like any other OTA software update.
