According to reports, 86 percent of American teenagers choose the iPhone as their next mobile phone. For Apple, this survey should be quite satisfactory, because many American teenagers still favor the iPhone.
Investment bank Piper Jaffray released a report today, saying that 86% of American teenagers said they hope the iPhone will become their next smartphone. This ratio is higher than last year’s 84%, and also set a record high. The report surveyed 8,600 American teenagers
Last year, Apple’s cheapest model was the iPhone XR, which usually starts at $749. While it is possible to reduce costs through discounts and other promotions, it may be more realistic for teenagers to purchase older models such as the iPhone 7 or 8.
In addition, the survey also found that Netflix is the most popular source of daily video consumption, accounting for 38%. Although free YouTube is everywhere, it’s market share is 33%, slightly lower than Netflix.
