Samsung Galaxy A40 update to Android 11, One UI 3.1 now available in Europe

Samsung is now also making the update to Android 11 available on the Galaxy A40. Also on board is a new version of the One UI interface: 3.1, and a newer security patch.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Update: Android 11, One UI 3.1

Then it suddenly went fast with the rollout of Android 11 in Samsung’s Galaxy A series. Earlier this week, the update was released on the Galaxy A50 and A70 – now the smaller brother in the same generation follows.

The same upgrade now follows for the Galaxy A40, which consists of three parts on the device. A more than 2061 MB download brings the March security patch, Android 11, and One UI 3.1. The changelog is long and quite detailed.

Upgrade of this size can cause a temporary increase in energy consumption. The device takes a few hours, or days, to optimize everything for your personal usage patterns. When this process is completed, the battery consumption will return to normal on its own.

Samsung Galaxy A40 Update Availability

You can now download the Android 11 update OTA on the Galaxy A40 in the Netherlands and Belgium. Moreover, it is also ready on the various branded models from Vodafone and T-Mobile.

The message that you can download the update will sooner or later appear on your phone. You can also manually check if you can download it already: Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.
