Samsung Galaxy Buds2 leak by FCC: FCC listing gives us a full glimpse of the buds and case pictured

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2, which are allegedly in mass production at the moment, have rolled in the FCC trial, proving they are ready for sale.

This listing allows us to peer in on the internal dynamics of the buds as well as the specifications of the case. Despite being designed to be replacements for the Galaxy Buds/Buds+ series of TWS earbuds, the Galaxy Buds2 have a bulbous outer shell and lack wingtips, making them seem more like Galaxy Buds Pro.

They appear to feature two microphones, one inside and one outside, an IR sensor for wear detection (so they can stop music when you take them out), and no exterior vent, as seen on the Galaxy Buds Pro. This suggests there there is no active noise cancellation, but the Bud2 will offer ANC as per the reliable tipster ice universe.

The case (EP-QR177) looks similarly as the Galaxy Buds Pro’s charging capabilities, with 2.5W of rated charging (5v*500mA). Visually, the casing and the Galaxy Buds Pro are nearly identical.

Returning to Ice Universe’s tweets, the Galaxy Buds2 will offer superior sound and ANC. It remains to be seen whether they will have better sound than the Galaxy Buds+ or the Galaxy Buds Pro, but better is better, either one it will be.

When to expect?

There’s a potential that Samsung may launch the Galaxy Buds2 in July, with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, or in August, as is traditional with Galaxy Buds.
