Letsgodigital and Dutch graphic designer Jermaine Smit, aka Concept Creator, have shown renderings and videos of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone in the title role, which are based on early leaks and rumors.
What was shown?
It is expected that the smartphone will retain the “clamshell” form factor with a large flexible display that folds in half, and will also receive a two-color design, like the Google Pixel. That is, the body will be the main color, and a small part with a camera and an additional screen will be dark.
In addition, the external display will be larger, which will fit more information on it, and the text will be more legible. According to rumors, the diagonal will be 1.83 inches (instead of 1.1 inches in the previous model).
Hidden inside is a 6.7-inch flexible screen with Full HD+ resolution and probably a 120 Hz refresh rate. At the same time, no further significant changes regarding the display or camera setup are expected. The battery capacity of 3300 mAh also seems to have not changed, the same goes for the fast charging function (15W).
According to rumors, the flexible smartphone will receive an IP rating of protection against water and dust for the first time, but it is not known which one. And Corning Gorilla Glass Victus will protect the case and display from both the front and back.
The official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected in the summer. It should be presented together with the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
