Samsung is already promoting foldable smartphones in the market, and it appears that the approach is succeeding, as the recently announced Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 phones have received record bookings.
Now, it appears that Samsung is planning to bring folding technology to the laptop market, starting with the Samsung Galaxy Book Fold 17. The gadget was shown as a concept at SID 2021, however Samsung is said to be working on it.
The @UniverseIce report verifies the Galaxy Book Fold 17 name for the forthcoming tablet, but nothing more is known about it at this time. It will most likely have a 17-inch folding display.
The expectation of the actual product may look quite different from what the firm demonstrated at SID 2021 earlier this year. The concept gadget featured ultra-thin bezels around the screen as well as an Under-Display Camera (UDC).
As previously said, there isn’t much information available regarding the Samsung Galaxy Book Fold 17, but if the gadget is real and slated to arrive soon, we should learn more about its features and specifications, as well as price and availability information, in the coming weeks.
Lenovo released the ThinkPad X1 Fold laptop last year, which had a 13.3-inch foldable OLED display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. It was introduced as the “world’s first foldable PC” at CES 2019.
