Along with the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360, the Korean manufacturer announced another new product at today’s Galaxy Unpacked event — the Galaxy Book Odyssey.

This is a gaming laptop with a 15.6-inch FHD screen. Unlike the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360, there is not an AMOLED matrix, but an IPS. The performance of the device is controlled by an 11-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Max-Q or GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Max-Q GPU. This is the world’s first laptop with such a video card.
The new product comes with LPDDR4X RAM up to 32 GB, as well as an SSD up to 1 TB. By the way, that RAM, that drive in the laptop can be expanded. Thanks to the extra slots.
Of the ports in the Galaxy Book Odyssey, there are two USB-C, three USB-A 3.2, HDMI, a headphone/microphone jack, and even RJ45 for connecting to a local network. Also in the novelty there is a slot for microSD, a fingerprint scanner built into the power button, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6 (2×2 MIMO) and Bluetooth 5.1.
As for the autonomy, it is responsible for the battery at 83 Wh. It is charged via the USB-C port with the included 135W power supply. For comparison, most laptops of this type have a maximum charge of 100 watts.
The new product comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro to choose from. The device weighs 1.85 kg and is 17.7 mm thick.
Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey Price and when to expect?
Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey is not worth waiting for in the near future. It is promised to be released on the market only in August. The cost of the new product in the US will be from $1399.
