Smartphones Coming in August 2021

August has to be the busiest month for smartphone makers after July. More than 8 confirmed smartphone releases are expected this month, including Samsung, Motorola, Realme, Redmi, iQOO, and others.

While we wait for flagships such as the iQOO 8 and Realme X9, budget phones such as the Redmi 10 are also on the way. This month, we’ll also see foldable phones.

Before we go any further, let’s take a look at all of the upcoming smartphones that will be launching in August 2021.

1. Motorola Edge S Pro

To begin with, it is reported to be a renamed model of the recently launched Motorola Edge 20 Pro in the global market, instead of a brand new phone.

A 6.7-inch OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution is likely to be included in the smartphone. A 108MP triple back camera system with a specialized periscope telephoto sensor will be featured.

It will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery. The battery will be able to charge at a speed of 30W.

2. Motorola Edge 20 Series

The Motorola Edge 20 series, which includes two phones, is likely to arrive in India, however this has not been confirmed. The specific launch date has yet to be determined, but it is expected to take place this month.

Motorola secretly launched the Edge 20 series in the worldwide market last month, but it consists of three phones: the Edge 20, the Edge 20 Pro, and the Edge 20 Lite. It remains to be seen whether of the two will enter the Indian market.

3. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3

iQOO has announced the launch date of their forthcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 8, after many leaks.

The smartphone will be released on August 17 and will follow the iQOO 7 series. It will have a 2K resolution display, 120W fast charging, and a Snapdragon 888+ SoC, among other features.

Samsung’s E5 AMOLED LTPO screens with dynamic refresh rate technology will be included in the iQOO 8 series. The panel will, however, offer a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It will be powered by OriginOS (Android 11) and will include a new design.

5. Realme GT series/Realme X9 Series


The Realme GT series is expected to arrive in India after its introduction in China. The Realme GT, GT Master Edition, GT Master Explorer Edition, and GT Neo will be launched on August 18, according to CEO Madhav Sheth.

The smartphone series features a Super AMOLED display with a high screen refresh rate of 120Hz. The GT Master Explorer Edition will have a distinct design that includes a slightly bigger display and enhanced cameras.

Realme is also anticipated to introduce the Realme X9 series in China. The series has passed various certifications, and the phones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset.

6. Realme 8s, Realme 8i


This month, a couple more Realme phones will be released. Realme is expected to release two cheap smartphones, the Realme 8s and Realme 8i, according to previous rumors. While there are few facts regarding the Realme 8i smartphone, we do know a lot about the Realme 8s.

The Realme 8s will have a 6.5-inch display with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz screen refresh rate, according to a leak. It will include a 64MP quad-camera system on the back and a 16MP single-camera arrangement on the front.

7. Redmi 10

According to rumors, Redmi would soon debut the Redmi 10 phones in India. It just appeared on the FCC, revealing that the smartphone would come pre-installed with Android 11.

The Redmi 10 is said to have better cameras than its predecessor. The device might come with three 50MP cameras on the rear.

8. Samsung Galaxy A52s

This month, Samsung is likely to introduce a new A-series phone in India. According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy A52s will be released with mid-range specifications. The phone has received many certifications, and its Snapdragon 778G CPU has been revealed.

It will have up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage inside. A big AMOLED display and multiple camera lenses are likely to be included in the smartphone.

Other details, such as the precise debut date, are yet unknown. However, the phone is expected to be released in August.
