Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 10 JE, a new smartphone in the Redmi Note 10 series. This handset, which is only available in Japan, is the eighth in the series. This phone is an improved version of the Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10T 5G.
It, like the newly launched OPPO Reno5 A, offers certain unique features suited to the Japanese market.
Redmi Note 10 JE Specifications
The design of the newly unveiled Redmi Note 10 JE is identical to that of the Redmi Note 10 5G, also known as the Redmi Note 10T 5G. In reality, the device has a nearly similar set of specifications, with a few minor differences.
First and importantly, instead of a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, the Redmi Note 10 JE is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset. The smartphone is also dust and water resistant to IP68 standards, however it has a smaller 4,800mAh battery (18W fast charging) and missing dual stereo speakers.
Finally, it has a single SIM card port and is FeliCa / Osaifu-Keitai contactless IC card technology compatible.
Aside from the changes stated above, the Redmi Note 10 JE is identical to the Redmi Note 10 5G on the inside. As a result, it has a 6.5-inch punch-hole (centered) LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a contrast ratio of 1500:1, and an AdaptiveSync refresh rate of (30Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz).
The phone has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users may utilize a MicroSD card slot to extend storage if necessary (up to 1TB). The phone’s optics include a 48MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera, as well as an 8MP selfie camera.
The smartphone supports 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BeiDou), USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone socket in terms of connectivity. It contains all of the necessary sensors, including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, infrared sensor, and a fingerprint sensor on the side.
The Redmi Note 10 JE is powered by MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11. It measures 163 x 76 x 9mm, weighs 200g, and is available in two colors (Graphite Gray, Chrome Silver). Last but not least, there is no charger included with the handset.
