Apple continues to dominate the wearable electronics market, but pressure from other manufacturers continues to mount, according to a report from analysts at Canalys.

And we are talking, first of all, about smartwatches and “smart” bracelets, where the Cupertino-based concern was not at the top of the ranking at the end of 2020.

Xiaomi is the leader in the segment of wrist electronics

In first place was Xiaomi with 37.7 million gadgets sold and a market share of 20.3%. The second place was taken by Apple with a market share of 19% and 35.2 million units sold.

It is unexpected to see Huawei in third place, which, despite a difficult year for itself, managed to sell 32.2 million gadgets and take 17.4% of the market share. But I think that no one doubts that Apple earns the most in this segment.

If we take into account the segment of TWS-headphones, then nothing threatens Apple’s leadership here, it sells headsets the most. So, for the entire 2020, she managed to sell 108.9 million headphones and control a quarter of the market for these devices.

In second place was Samsung with 38.3 million of sold headphones and a share of 8.9%. Closed the top three of the leaders Xiaomi, whose share is 5.9% and in its asset 25.4 million sold headsets.

In general, over the past year, 432.1 million TWS-headphones were sold, which is 19.8% more than a year earlier. Smartwatches and fitness trackers also demonstrate a steady growth in popularity – 9.9% in 2020.
