Samsung Galaxy S10+ vs. iPhone Xs Max drop test. The guys from PhoneBuff decided to test the new flagship of the Samsung Galaxy S10+ for durability in the drop test. And in order to have something to compare with, they put in his rivals the iPhone XS Max.
Who is Stronger?
Smartphones were chosen in a pair, not only in power, “ stuffing “ and cost, but also in “ armor”. The flagship of Samsung on both sides is protected by Gorilla Glass 6, which, according to the manufacturer, is several times stronger than the 5th generation of Gorilla Glass. The iPhone Xs Max, of course, also has a protective glass, but which one – Apple did not specify. Representatives of the company only immodestly noted that this is the most durable and durable glass.
In the first round of the test, the iPhone Xs Max won. After a fall from a small height to the back panel, there were several cracks left, but the Galaxy S10 + had entire cobwebs.
In the second round, smartphones were thrown from a small height to the corner. Both coped with dignity: only small scratches and abrasions appeared on the cases.
When the screen was falling down, both displays broke, but the Galaxy S10 + had more damage. He continued to work, but the subscreen fingerprint scanner was already “ junk”.
And finally, in the final round, the flagships threw up to the “ last breath”. The iPhone Xs Max “ died “ after the third fall, but the Samsung Galaxy S10 + was even in working condition after 10 drops.
Thus, the Samsung Galaxy S10 + is not as strong as the iPhone Xs Max, but more durable. And the onscreen scanner is better to take care of.
