Volkswagen presented ID.X: A “charged” version of the ID.3 electric car with all-wheel drive, acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and drift mode, just like the Golf R

After the release of the electric car ID.3 in 2019, information began to appear on the network that Volkswagen is also preparing a “charged” version of the car. And now, two years later, the company officially introduced it.

What is known?

The novelty was called ID. X. The concept of an electric car was personally shown by Volkswagen CEO Ralf Brandstatter on his LinkedIn page. The car got the same appearance as a regular ID.3, but at the same time, it boasts a reduced weight of 200 kg, and all-wheel drive, and an electrical installation that produces 333 hp or 245 kilowatts.

This is even more than that of fellow Audi Q4 50 e-Tron Quattro (299 hp) and Skoda Enyaq RS iV (306 hp). Thanks to this combination, the car reduced acceleration to “hundreds” up to 5.3 seconds. The novelty is powered by a 77 kWh battery. By the way, ID.X also got a special mode for drifting, like the Volkswagen Golf R.
