Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 11T series today, after weeks of teasing. Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro are the two models in the series.
The two phones are nearly identical, with a few minor variations. These handsets are the successors of last year’s Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro.
Xiaomi 11T & 11T Pro Design
The Xiaomi 11T series is designed to look like vintage film camcorders. The placement of the triple rear camera array on the back shows this.
The phones have a plastic frame with an anti-glare coating and a glass back. They also have tapered edges and quad curves on the back for a more comfortable grip. They have a punch-hole display on the front with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
When it comes to location, the right side features the volume rockers and the power key with an incorporated fingerprint sensor, while the left side has nothing.
A USB Type-C port, a primary microphone, a speaker grille, and a SIM card slot are also located on the bottom. Finally, there’s an IR blaster, another speaker grille, and a backup microphone on the top side.
The dimensions of these IP53-rated smartphones are 164.1mm x 76.9mm x 8.8mm, while the weight difference is a single gram. The vanilla and Pro variants are both 203g and 204g in weight.
Meteorite Gray, Moonlight White, and Celestial Blue are the three colors available for the Xiaomi 11T series.
Xiaomi 11T & 11T Pro Speciications
A 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), over 1 billion colors, 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, and 480Hz touch sampling is included on the Xiaomi 11T series.
A centred punch-hole, 20:9 aspect ratio, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and 1000 nits peak brightness characterise this DisplayMate A+ panel. HDR10+, Dolby Vision (only Pro), TrueColor, Sunlight Mode 3.0, and Reading Mode 3.0 are all supported by the screen.
The Xiaomi 11T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Ultra SoC with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Xiaomi 11T Pro, on the other hand, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, as well as up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. A liquid cooling system controls the thermals on the duo.
On the back, both smartphones include a triple camera arrangement with a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor (120° FOV), and a 5MP telemacro camera with autofocus. They feature a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
The handsets include new camera functions such as Audio Zoom, One-Click AI Cinema, Time Freeze, and Magic Zoom, in addition to standard MIUI camera features. Video recording in 8K 30 fps, 4K 60 fps, and HDR10+ is also possible with the pro model.
Regrettably, the vanilla model is limited to 4K 30fps. The normal version’s front camera can only record at 1080p 30fps, whereas the Pro can record at 1080p 60fps.
The duo has 5G, dual SIM, dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BeiDou), NFC, and USB Type-C connection.
They include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, 360° ambient light sensor, gyroscope, compass, and infrared blaster, among other sensors. A barometer and a colour temperature sensor are included in the Pro edition.
An X-axis linear vibration motor, Hi-Res Audio certification, and dedicated twin stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos capabilities are included in the phones. In addition, Harmon Kardon has tweaked the speakers on the Pro version.
MIUI 12.5 is installed on the phones, which is based on Android 11. They’ll get three Android updates and four years of security patches as standard.
Battery and Charging
A 5,000mAh battery powers the Xiaomi 11T series. The Pro edition has 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge technology, but the vanilla version only has 67W.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro’s 120W charging technology can charge the phone from 2% to 100% in under 17 minutes.
Because of 34 battery/charging features, real-time temperature monitoring, and other precautions, this charging system has received TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System Certification.
The Xiaomi 11T, on the other hand, takes 36 minutes to charge from 1% to 100%.
Both the 67W and 120W chargers will come with your handset, regardless of which you choose. Other products can be charged with these power adapters.
