Xiaomi is preparing to release the Redmi Note 8 (2021) with a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, a 120 Hz screen, and an MIUI 12.5 out of the box

According to several insiders from Twitter, Xiaomi is working on a new version of the Redmi Note 8 smartphone, which entered the market in 2019.

What is known?

The device has already passed the FCC certification and even “lit up” on the official website of the manufacturer with the name Redmi Note 8 (2021).

The novelty, according to the source, passes with the code name Biloba. The main difference between the device will be the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. In addition, the Redmi Note 8 (2021) is also credited with an IPS display with a drop-shaped cutout and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a quad camera with a 48 MP main sensor, and a 4000 mAh battery with 22.5 W fast charging.

The smartphone will enter the market in two versions of memory (4/64 GB and 4/128 GB) and with a pre-installed MIUI 12.5 proprietary shell, which is based on the Android 11 OS. Redmi Note 8 (2021) will be sold only on the global market. The release of the device should take place in the near future.
