The first-ever smartphone to offer a stable MIUI 12.5 update was the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Now, the rest of the series’ siblings – Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro are on a way to get updates.
In China, Xiaomi Mi 10 or Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will be updated on the OTA with firmware versions V22.214.171.124.RJBCNXM and V126.96.36.199.RJACNXM. The two builds weigh approximately 4.0Gb and bring to the smartphones the latest stable MIUI 12.5 built on Android 11 to the devices.
If you remember, in China, a few days ago Xiaomi began to update the stable MIUI 12.5 to users. As previously mentioned, the Mi 10 Ultra as well as other devices like the Mi 9 SE, Mi 11 have recently got it.
The March 2021 security patch is also available to the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro updates. Back in December, Xiaomi launched MIUI 12.5. The incremental UI has improvements like improvements in the UI design, uninstallable built-in apps, more super wallpaper, improved privacy, haptics and MIUI+, and more.
That being said, the rollout will proceed and will not end with flagships, as Xiaomi has already announced a list of 28 smartphones planned for the first wave in China. The Mi 11 is expected to arrive shortly in the global markets and will be accompanied by other devices on the list.
As far as the Mi 10 consumer elsewhere is concerned, note that this is only for China, so you must wait before this stable update is extended in the regions by Xiaomi. And for Chinese users, these builds are in ‘stable beta recovery,’ so that they just have to hit a handful for now, before they can be introduced in the coming days.
