OPPO began recruiting beta testers for the OPPO A74 5G’s Android 12-based ColorOS 12 update before Christmas. The smartphone began receiving the stable update within a month after that.
The Chinese tech giant has began pushing out ColorOS 12 stable update for OPPO A74 5G, according to an official announcement post on OPPO Community.
The handset’s most recent software upgrade includes not only new ColorOS capabilities, but also Android 12 and associated features.
The firmware version C.29 is included in the update, which is currently available in India. Users should be running firmware version A.12 to receive OTA system support.
If the phone’s users are running the appropriate software build, they can go to Settings > Software Version > Gear Icon > Trial Version and download and install the latest update by following the on-screen instructions.
This OTA software update is being sent out in batches, just like any other OTA software update. As a result, reaching each user may take some time.
However, in the following days, all units should have access to the most recent update.
OPPO A74 5G is the OPPO’s budget 5G smartphone. OPPO deserves credit for getting the update to this smartphone up faster than other companies that sell comparable priced 5G smartphones.
