The Chinese company Dasung announced an unusual monitor called Paperlike 253 as part of the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.
What is special about it?
The fact is that the novelty boasts a panel unusual for monitors. This is not an IPS, OLED or VA matrix, but E-ink. Such panels are usually installed in e-books. E-ink matrix significantly reduces eye strain. In addition, it has good viewing angles and high readability in bright light.
The Paperlike 253 screen received a 25.3-inch diagonal, as well as proprietary Dasung Turbo technology , which is responsible for the response time. That is, unlike electronic readers, the picture in the monitor will be smooth. The panel has a resolution of 3200x1800p and an aspect ratio of 16:9.
The monitor has received a variety of ports, including three USB-A, one USB-C and one HDMI. The novelty will be delivered with a stand adjustable vertically and horizontally. If required, the device can be wall-mounted using a VESA bracket.
Price and when to expect?
Dasung Paperlike 253 is asking for $2,000. The first deliveries of new items are planned to begin in August.
