Samsung’s Tizen app store is no longer available to new or existing users as of this year. In June of last year, the business halted registrations and made the shop exclusively open to existing customers, who could only download programs that they had previously downloaded.
The Tizen app store, however, will be permanently shuttered after December 31, 2021. So, if you have a Samsung Z series smartphone, it may be time to upgrade to Android or iOS.
It was an expected turn of events, given the final Samsung Z4 phone featuring Tizen OS was launched in 2017.
After this year’s Galaxy Watch4 series, which runs on Google’s Wear OS, it appears that the business is abandoning the Tizen project. All future Galaxy watches will run on Google’s Wear OS.
