Samsung Galaxy S22, S21, S20, and S10 are Removed from Geekbench! Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 line, Galaxy S20 range, and all devices in its Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup, have been removed from Geekbench’s Android benchmark list.
In response to the current Game Optimizing Service (GOS) controversy, the commonly used synthetic benchmark website has taken this extreme step.
Samsung has received a lot of criticism for its Game Optimizing Service (GOS), which appears to select and decide what apps operate at maximum speed while restricting the Galaxy S device for other apps.
Despite the company’s assurances to users that it will improve GOS to allow customers to set their own performance levels, it appears that it is too late to appease Geekbench’s unhappy developers.
Geekbench’s Twitter account got this to comment about the uproar:
Earlier this week, we were made aware of Samsung’s Game Optimizing Service (GOS) and how it throttles the performance of games and applications. GOS decides to throttle (or not to throttle) applications using application identifiers and not application behavior.

Things became more personal in a second tweet:
We view this as a form of benchmark manipulation as major benchmark applications, including Geekbench, are not throttled by this service.

The ultimate decision was to remove all impacted Samsung devices from the Android benchmark list, which implies that the following Galaxy S devices are got removed:
Today we delisted these handsets from the Android Benchmark chart on the Geekbench Browser.

After extensive internal testing we have determined the following Samsung Galaxy handsets use GOS:
– Samsung Galaxy S22 (all models)
– Samsung Galaxy S21 (all models)
– Samsung Galaxy S20 (all models)
– Samsung Galaxy S10 (all models)— Geekbench (@geekbench) March 4, 2022
Despite the fact that 20 devices are listed there, a complete of 24 list listings have been removed because of separate records for the banned Samsung Exynos and Snapdragon models.
The smartphones are currently stuck near the bottom of Geekbench’s Android performance list, among other handsets that have been banned or excluded, such as the OnePlus 9 and Huawei P20 Pro.
