Specialists iFixit got to the senior flagship model Huawei P30 Pro, dismantled it and assessed the maintainability.

” Opening ” showed that on board settled SoC Kirin 980, combined with chip SKhynix H9HKNNNFBMAU LPDDR4X RAM, flash memory Micron JZ064 MTFC128GAOANAM WT-, controller HiSilicon HI6405, Skyworks module 78191 – 11 and other details. The subscreen fingerprint scanner is based on the Goodix GM185 sensor (the same for Xiaomi Mi 9 and OnePlus 6T).
The camera unit is quite large but does not take up too much space. Huawei P30 Pro has four main camera modules: 40 MP, 20 MP and 8 MP, as well as a ToF sensor for determining the depth of the scene.
The battery capacity is 16.04 Wh.
Verdict
As a result, representatives of iFixit wrote down standard fasteners and modularity of components. Due to this, components, including the battery, will be easy to replace.
But to replace the display will be more difficult: on the way to it, it is necessary to “ get rid ” of many components. And because of the abundance of glue during the repair, the protective glass can easily be damaged.
As a result, Huawei P30 Pro received 4 points out of 10 for maintainability. At one time, the same rating was at last year’s P20 Pro .
